The Four Seasons

Everybody knows the seasons in most of North America? Yes, there are four season there. You know, they are spring, summer, fall and winter. Now let me tell you about the time of each season. You know, each season lasts about three months. The months of spring are March, April and May. Officially, spring begins about March 22. The weather is usually cold and windy in March, but there are some warm days. There is a lot of rain in April, but May is usually sunny and beautiful. In May, the plants and trees become green and there are flowers of many colors.

Spring

Now, when does the summer start? Well, it starts about June 22 and includes the months of June, July and August. In June, school ends and vacation begins for many students. It is very hot in the summer, so many people go on picnic and go to the beach.

Now, what season comes after summer?  It is fall or autumn. It begins about September 22. Vacation ends and school starts again in September. The weather is usually nice in September and October, not too hot and not to cold. The leaves change color and become yellow, red and brown. The colors are very beautiful, but then the leaves fall from the trees.

 How about winter? It is cold in most parts of the North America, and when does it start? It starts about December 22. The winter months are December, January, and February. In many places it snows in winter and people go skiing and skating.
