Information Report

Information report is a factual text. It has information so that the reader learns about a topic. It provides information about living thing such as panda, whale, orchids, or non-living things like cars, computer, and so on.

You have to remember that an information reports:

• Uses facts
• Gives details about a topic
• Doesn't give personals views of the writer

Structure of information report text:

Title

The title represent what the text is going to tell about.

Introductory paragraph

This is the first paragraph. It introduces the subject of the report.

Body paragraph

This paragraphs contain details about the topic. 

Conclusion

We summarize or review the topic that has been described in the previous paragraphs.

Language

We commonly use simple present to write an information report. Simple past and simple future are also possible to use. The information report is written in the third person point of view.
